One of the topics that this essay addresses is that there is a lack of accountability in keeping track of the number of times patrons challenge a book’s existence in a collection. There is also the question of if there are specific reasons why certain books are not in the collection or is it simply due to the collection guidelines.

Outcome 2c- 713 Research Paper

This essay focuses on how digital preservation can help academic libraries continue to meet the needs of its patrons by allowing for greater access to materials. Digitization also helps to allow for more space on the library shelves for other materials or to even eliminate some of the print collections altogether. Great care needs to be made when making decisions about which collections are better housed digitally or in the physical form.

This essay examines the way that librarians grapple with issues and benefits of copyright law. This essay also examines the way that librarians have to make decisions about which format journals in libraries are kept. Format changes also mean changes in how librarians interpret copyright permits in contracts.
