Outcome 3a- 882 Group Project
Part of our mission for this group project was to create records for our photos in the collection. We had to make sure that our records would be accurately cataloged in multiple formats including Dublin Core and XML. Creating records at its core is part of designing resources that allow for access to information.
Outcome 3d- Digital Mission Statements
With all of the emerging technology that is entering the library field, it is important that libraries have a strong sense of what they want their digital collections to accomplish. Librarians need to understand who is going to benefit from this collection and how this collection serves the needs of the community. There also is a chance to examine how well the digital collection is functioning it its role at the library.
Outcome 3c- Repository System Evaluation
The evaluation I worked on looked at how user-friendly different software was in navigating digital collections. Having a digital collection that is easy to navigate will help increase access to the digital collection. Part of information management is making sure that the information is accessible and making sure that information tools function the way they should.
